Joel A. Bierens Scholarship
The Joel A. Bierens Scholarship provides financial assistance to graduating high school seniors and current college students who have epilepsy and who desire to continue their education. All traditional-age, full time students are encouraged to apply.
The scholarship award is $500 to be used towards college.
The 2011 scholarship will be awarded to 2 students.
Applications are now being accepted for 2011 through July 15, 2011.
How to apply
To apply for this scholarship, you must be a resident of Michigan who is epileptic.
To get started with your application, please fill out and submit the form below. You will need a letter from your treating physician on their letterhead stating that you are a patient that is being treated for epilepsy. Please write a 1 or 2 page description of yourself and your goals. Please send your letter along with the letter from your doctor to us along with your transcripts from school to our address.
