Meet Trystin Scott
Trystin is a graduate of Northville High School and a sophomore at Michigan State University. His seizures began as a senior in High School and affected his athletics including his baseball. His strong attitude has not let his epilepsy affect his determination to graduate MSU with a good grade point averaage and his future life beyond college. We salute your determination and your attitude Trystin!
Samantha Caampbell Update
Smantha Campbell was again awarded the Joel Bierens Scholarship. She will be a sophomore this year at Cornerstone College and a leader of many Freshman at the school as part of the Terra Firma Group which offers leadership and guidance towards the freshman class. This is very unusual for a Sophomore to attain this position, so congratulations to you!

Meet Samantha Campbell
Samantha Campbell, won this year's Joel A.Bierens Scholarship. She is a recent graduate of Byron Center High School in Byron Center,MI. She will be attending Cornerstone University this next year.
She has suffered from epilepsy since she was 5 years old and though it has been difficult living with her condition she believes it has helped to make her a strong young woman. Keep that great positive attitude it will serve you well.

Meet Emily Kamphuis
Emily Kamphuis, won this year's Joel A. Bierens Scholarship. She is a recent graduate of Hudsonville High School in Hudsonville, MI. She is majoring in Psychology at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, MI.
She has sufferred from Epilepsy since she was in the 8th grade, but is moving forward despite her condition.

2006 Winner
Meet Paul Wiersma
Paul Wiersma, won this year's Joel A. Bierens Scholarship. Paul went to NorthPointe Christian High School and graduated in 2006.
On September 26, 2006 he had his surgery and In January 2007 he began attending Davenport University. He will graduate from Davenport in December, 2010! His major is in International Business.
