Home Safety Program

The Home Safety program is aimed to help make the homes of those affected by uncontrolled epilepsy more safe. It is open to all homes with a focus to those homes with young children. All are encouraged to apply.

This is an open program.

The guidelines for the program include:

  • Please provide a letter by your physician stating your condition and whether it is under control or not.
  • You must own your home and reside in the home.
  • Though we would like to be able to help those that are renting we can only help those that can show they own their home or are in the process of buying their home. Please provide a title or a monthly mortgage statement from your bank please.
  • We will donate up to $1,000 for work to make your home safer.

We will gladly review your home to see how we can help make it more safe in the event seizures occur in the future. Our work is donated by area builder James Van Zweden of Ability Service Home Repair and Remodeling of Jenison, MI as well as Tony Bierens. Thank you to both of them.
